# WhatsApp Profiles

WhatsApp Profiles show phone numbers connected through the communication integration.

## Step-by-step guide

1. Go to **Communication > WhatsApp Profiles**.
2. Review available WhatsApp phone number profiles.
3. Open a profile to view details.
4. Update profile fields supported by the screen.
5. Set a phone number as default when needed.
6. Save changes.

## What SmartAcademy does in the background

The backend uses the saved WhatsDiscuss or WhatsApp integration credentials to fetch profile data, update profile details, and store the selected default phone number for the organization.

- Connect WhatsDiscuss before expecting profiles to load.
- Use the default profile for school-wide fee reminders and communication workflows.
