# Student Profile, Documents, and Medical Info

The student profile brings together personal information, enrollment, guardians, medical info, documents, photos, fees, and related actions.

## Step-by-step guide

1. Go to **Students > Student Directory**.
2. Open a student record.
3. Use **Edit Profile** to update personal or enrollment details.
4. Use **Edit Medical Info** to update health conditions, allergies, or notes.
5. Use **Add Guardian** to link a guardian.
6. Use **Manage Photos** to update student photos.
7. Use **Upload Document** to attach documents.
8. Use document actions to download or delete documents.
9. Use **Promote / Transfer** when the student changes class, section, or status.

## What SmartAcademy does in the background

The backend updates the student record, enrollment, medical fields, guardian links, and document records. File uploads are stored through the file upload service and linked back to the student.

## Tips

- Keep medical information current for emergency readiness.
- Deleting a document removes the student-document link and records the action.
