# Editing Medicine in SmartCarePlus

SmartCarePlus lets you keep your medicine inventory clean, current, and fully up to date. Whether it's updating strength, correcting a brand name, or changing pricing, this guide walks you through how to edit an existing medicine entry with ease.

## 📋 Step 1: Open the Drawer Menu

Start by tapping the **drawer menu** from the app's main screen. This is where all your inventory-related navigation begins.

## 💊 Step 2: Go to Medicines

Scroll through the drawer and select **Medicines** under the **Inventory** section. This will take you to the full list of medicines you’ve added to the system.

## 🔎 Step 3: Find the Medicine You Want to Edit

You can either scroll manually or use the **search and filter bar** at the top of the screen to locate the specific medicine.  
You can search or filter by:
- Medicine Name  
- Generic Name  
- Brand Name  
- Manufacturer Name  
- Form  
- Route  
- HSN Code

## 🧾 Step 4: Select the Medicine

Tap on the **medicine tile** you wish to update. This will open the **Medicine Details** page, where you can view all the information previously added about that medicine.

## ⚙️ Step 5: Open the Actions Menu

Once you're inside the **Medicine Details** screen, look for the **menu icon** (three vertical dots) in the top right corner of the screen. Tap it to open more options.

## ✍️ Step 6: Tap "Edit"

From the dropdown menu, tap on the **Edit** option. This will launch the edit flow where all fields from the original medicine creation process will be available for modification.

You can edit:

- **Images** (add, remove, or replace)
- **Basic Information** (medicine name, generic/brand/manufacturer)
- **Medicine Specs** (form, route, strength, HSN code, tax rate, schedule)
- **Packages & Pricing** (add/edit/delete packages and sub-packages)
- **Stock Entries** (add/edit/delete stock details like batch number, expiry date, and quantity)

All existing data will be pre-filled, so you can make only the necessary updates without starting from scratch.

## 👀 Step 7: Review Summary

After you finish making changes, you’ll land on the **Summary** screen — a full preview of the updated information. Review each section to confirm everything is correct.

## ✅ Step 8: Update and Save

Once you're satisfied with your edits, tap on the **Save** icon in the bottom right corner. Your changes will now be applied to the medicine entry across your system.
