# Import Clients (Excel)

1. **Open Clients Screen**: To import clients, follow these steps to access the Clients screen:
   * Click on the **Record Navigation Card** featuring clients on your dashboard.
   * Alternatively, navigate through the drawer menu by selecting **Communication** and then **Clients**.
2. **Click on Add Button**:
   * In the Clients screen, click the **Add** button located at the bottom right corner.
   * You will see two options:
     * Click on the **Add** button again to add a client manually. Learn more about adding a client [here](add-client).
     * Click on the **Import** button, which appears above the Add button, to import clients in bulk.
3. **Import Clients Using Excel Sheet**: This guide will help you import clients using an Excel sheet. You can also import clients by picking them from your contacts.
   * **Download Sample Excel Sheet**:\
     Click on the **download icon** in the top right corner of the card labeled "Import Excel Sheet" to download a sample file.
   *   **Prepare the Excel File**:\
       In the downloaded file:

       * The first column should contain the **Country Code**.
       * The second column should contain the **WhatsApp Number**.
       * The third column should contain the **Client Name**.
       * The fourth column should list the **Groups** the client belongs to (you can assign multiple groups by separating them with commas).
       * The fifth column is the **Name** of the client.

       It's important to note that **Country Code**, **WhatsApp Number**, and **Client Name** are required fields.
4. **Upload the Excel Sheet**: After preparing the file, return to the WhatsDiscuss **Import Clients** screen.
   * Click on the card labeled **"Import Excel Sheet"** (instead of the download icon).
   * Choose the prepared **xlsx file**.
5. **Choose WhatsApp Profile**:
   * After uploading the file, select the **WhatsApp Profile** with which the clients should be linked for communication.
   * Click the **check icon** in the top right to begin the import process.

Once initiated, the client import process will start, and the clients will be added to your WhatsDiscuss system in bulk.
