Transport Routes and Stops

Routes define the path students use for school transport.

Step-by-step guide

1. Go to Transportation > Routes & Stops.
2. Select Add Route.
3. Choose a vehicle if applicable.
4. Enter route name.
5. Set status as Active or Inactive.
6. Add notes if needed.
7. Add stops under Stops and default fee slabs.
8. For each stop, enter stop name and default fee details.
9. Reorder stops if needed.
10. Select Save.

What SmartAcademy does in the background

The backend stores the route and stops together, keeps stop order, links the vehicle, and records route create or update actions. It blocks deleting a route that has active student transport assignments.

Tips

• Add stop default fees to speed up student transport assignment.
• End active student assignments before deleting a route.
