Resetting Your Password
Use this workflow when a user cannot log in because they forgot their password.
Step-by-step guide
- On the login page, select Forgot Password.
- Enter the registered phone number or email address.
- Select Send OTP.
- Enter the OTP in the verification field.
- Select Verify OTP.
- Enter the new password and confirm it.
- Select Reset Password.
- Return to login and sign in with the new password.
What SmartAcademy does in the background
SmartAcademy sends or validates an OTP for the identifier, verifies the reset token, updates the user password, and records the reset action.
Common issues
- OTP not accepted: confirm you entered the latest OTP.
- Minimum password length: the password must be at least 8 characters.
- User not found: ask an administrator to check the user record in People Directory.
