Guardians

Guardians are parents or responsible contacts linked to students.

Step-by-step guide

1. Go to Students > Guardians.
2. Search guardians by name, phone, or other available filters.
3. Select Add Guardian to create a guardian.
4. Enter full name, phone, WhatsApp number if different, occupation, address, state, district, and PIN code.
5. Save the guardian.
6. Open guardian actions to edit, delete, or assign students.
7. When assigning students, choose the student and relationship.
8. Use export when you need a guardian list outside SmartAcademy.

What SmartAcademy does in the background

The backend validates guardian contact information, stores the guardian under your organization, links guardians to students with relationship details, and records guardian actions.

Tips

• Search by phone before creating a new guardian to avoid duplicates.
• Use WhatsApp number when school communication should go to a different number from the main phone.
